Open Letter to Bill Hess at Air America Media: On behalf of legions of Air America listeners, many of whom long ago turned off much of the AA network because it seemed mired in middling programming that failed to inspire or compel, we the fans of @AnaMarieCox urge you to make her program a regular daily event. Called everything from "Smart Snark" to "Bitchy NPR," her first few shows have already appealed to progressives and conservatives alike. She has a witty edge that makes progressive radio into something actually fun to listen to, as well as repeatable, quotable, and yes, tweetable. Because it wasn't overly promoted in advance, very few even knew about her "guest hosting," but already, a groundswell of support is building for something more permanent. To demonstrate this to you, we've created the user name @AnaMarieCoxShow on Twitter in order to gather early supporters who want to see it happen. Bear in mind that on Twitter, raw numbers of people following a name can be misleading. Many of those who do follow will have hundredsââ¬âor thousandsââ¬âof their own followers, and their ability to buzz-up a show is well known. Thanks so much for her trial show. Now please do the right thing and make her a full time thing. America's needs better rants and fewer pants on the radio. For more, visit: SNARKOCRACY.
