Audrey O'Shaughnessy

Location: Waltham, MA US

Summary: I am an elder law attorney based in Waltham, Massachusetts. I focus on Medicaid applications, long-term care planning, and estate planning. When the need arises, I also help clients with uncontested guardianship and probate matters. I occasionally represent clients who are seeking a reverse mortgage. I earned my law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston and my undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. I am an active member of multiple bar associations, including the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and Starting Out Solo. Service to the community has always been a part of my personal and professional development. I take pro bono cases from the Volunteer Lawyers Project and I serve as a volunteer member of the human rights committee for Dare Family Services. I also participate in various local initiatives such as giving free presentations at local senior centers and helping in the annual Charles River Cleanup. As a solo practitioner I offer unique services to my clients, including extended hours and house-calls. My clients choose whether to consult with me over the phone, at my office in Waltham, or at home if my clients are not mobile. I invite you to visit my website at: www.heidtlaw.com to learn more about my practice. When I am not at the office I practice yoga, swing dance with my husband, and read as many books as I have time for.
