Linda Kimura has over 30 years experience working with infant/toddler and early childhood development programs across the United States and in Canada. She earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Development and an M.A. in Human Development and is an Infant/Toddler Specialist and Academic Instructor for the Program for Infant Toddler Care. Linda is the author of âBabies Canât Wait: Relationship-based home visitingâ (a home visitor training book), âMusic: The Great Organizerâ (a chapter in âLearning to Read the Worldâ) and âHome Visiting Programs: At Risk Families with Newbornsâ (a chapter in âChild Abuse and Neglect: Guidelines for Identification, Assessment and Case Managementâ). Linda also performs as âThe Ukulele Baby Ladyâ, bringing music and rhythm to the topics of early literacy and self esteem. She owns Babies Canât Wait: International Training and Technical Assistance â a consulting firm, and works closely with Danya International and the National Head Start Family Literacy Center. Linda is a former Head Start parent. In 2009, Linda combined her well-known Babies Can't Wait consulting firm with Pat Hillman's Zero to Five consulting firm, resulting in the new Infant Toddler Specialist Group. She continues to train and consult with infant/toddler programs (especially but exclusively with Early Head Starts).
