SkiingtheBackcountry.com is an online magazine based in Jackson Hole that has articles, resources, photos, videos, gear reviews, a backcountry ski guide, event calendar and more.

We don't take ourselves too seriously- so come join the fun and waste your time with us!

We are a group a backcountry skiing enthusiasts who love to ski. Whether you are into bagging first descents off the gnarliest of all peaks or sledding down your local town hill, we are all united by our common goal of having fun in the snow and not taking ourselves too seriously.

We are dedicated to provide you with entertaining and educating nonsense on a daily basis. Except on weekends, that's our special private time.

Since we are a web-based magazine we have no real-physical location. We have writers and contributors from all over the western states. That being said, the founders are based out of Jackson Hole, WY, but spend a lot of time on the road in constant search of powder.

Our main goal of this site is to provide a web portal that delivers stoke, smiles, and healthy conversation. We are always looking for feedback so please drop us a line at contact@skiingthebackcountry.com.

Any success this site may have we will give a portion back to serving the community through donating to non-profits, helping access issues, to name a few.
