I've loved teaching reading since 1989. Injured years ago, I could no longer work in schools. I soon realized that not teaching made me miserable! So I began to figure out ways to help struggling readers online. I've spent two years preparing hundreds of ways to work with kids of any age using Skype and lots of other technological tools and methods. I use several software programs, and many different resources so that I can style lessons to exactly what works best for your child. I believe in different learning styles! First, I offer a free consultation with you. We will talk as long as is needed to ensure that I understand enough about your child and what is happening with her reading so that I can effectively plan a path to follow. This will be adjusted any time it is necessary, even if daily. At this point there are 3 options to consider. 1) My newsletter offers lessons, tips, and ideas for you to use without my help. Definitely visit my site and sign up for that freebie. 2) 1-to-1 tutoring w/your child, with your assistance. I can work for any amount of time you wish, which may be according to what you can afford. I'm willing to have a ten minute lesson a few times a week, instead of a half hour or hour. Your child will have activities (more like play!) to do with you, until we've taught him how to do them on his own. 3) 1-to-1 tutoring with your child, without your assistance. This takes more time, and so it costs more, but it works extremely well for parents who are short on time with their child. This is so understandable in today's world. Pricing varies from family to family, as I am not willing to leave out children in poorer situations. I appreciate your honesty on what you can afford. If your child can't read yet or has problems reading, contact me through Twitter or my site, because I truly can usually solve the problem! Any age is welcome. Your child deserves it. I'll be waiting for your note. :D
