The School of International Development (DEV) at the University of East Anglia is a leading global centre of excellence in research and teaching in international development. The School comprises a lively and dedicated community of about 35 lecturers and professors, 15 associated researchers, 250 undergraduates, 150 taught postgraduate and 80 PhD students. With a world-class research reputation and an effective interdisciplinary ethos, our School applies economic, social, political and natural sciences to the study of international development with special emphasis on human, social and environmental change and poverty alleviation. International Development UEA is the name for our charitable company that has pioneered research, training and consultancy in International Development since 1967. International Development UEA manages both the UK-based and international project activities of the University of East Anglia's School of International Development, as well as work undertaken in partnership with other Schools.
