Psychotherapist, academic, media shrink and author. BBC Radio 1's resident psychotherapist on The Surgery. Tweeting psychology, culture, social media and more. I am a writer and blogger on a number of different issues, though all from a psychological perspective. I have a forthcoming book entitled "The Psychodynamics of Social Networking: connected up instantaneous culture and the self." This book uses psychoanalysis among other disciplines to investigate people's motivations behind Facebook, Twitter, and other social networking platforms. I have an abiding interest in what is going on in culture including social media, film, television, humour, current events and politics. I keep a regular blog: http://www.mindswork.co.uk/wpblog/ on a variety of these sorts of topics. I also regularly write for the charity YoungMindsUK's blog on young people and mental health. I also work regularly with the media (radio and television) on psychological issues. I have a children's book coming out in May: "Keep your Cool: dealing with life's pressures and stress": http://www.hachettechildrens.co.uk/Books/detail.page?isbn=9781445115092
