I am an experienced Manager, degree qualified (M.Sc. Biotech) and a broad range of business expertise. Roles have included scientific research, product development, product management, retail, customer-facing and 13 years of operational management. Well developed financial reporting and control skills. A strategic planner with a demonstrable record of delivering continuous improvements through Lean methodology. Successful multi-disciplinary team leader and project manager, 6 sigma trained. A passion to succeed, to bring bottom-line benefits by reducing costs, optimising performance of staff and improving customer service. Currently looking for a new position due to redundancy. I am looking for opportunities where I can use my extensive operational management skills, and my previous wide range of business roles, to improve the bottom-line of my employer, whilst giving me a challenging and interesting career path. For the right opportunity I would relocate anywhere within the UK Outside of work my passion is motor race marshalling - The ones in orange babygros that wave flags for the drivers to ignore and sort them out on the many occasions when levels of enthusiasm exceed levels of talent!. I have 20 years experience; now a Post-Chief, leading a team of other marshals. Responsible for everyone’s safety (marshals, spectators and drivers) and for controlling & reporting incidents occurring in that section of circuit.
