Located in the picture postcard town of Haslemere Surrey, The Halsemere Pet Company serves customers from all over the southern three counties. Friendly staff with real qualifications, and a true dedication to customer service has earned this independent shop numerous awards including: The Kennel Club’s “Open for Dogs Award” (2008), The Haslemere Chamber of Commerce “People’s Choice Award” (2009), Finalist in the Pet Industry’s “Pet Retail Shop of the Year Award” (2009), and Third Place in the UK All Parliamentary Small Shop Group “Small Shop of the Year Awards”, 2010. Additional services include: free local home delivery, free monthly puppy socialisation parties, small animal boarding facilities, fish tank cleaning service, special orders, veterinary diets, and a whole host of ongoing workshops and seminars with local animal experts including gundog trainers, animal behaviourists, and veterinary professionals. The shop welcomes customers from 9:00am-5:30pm Monday to Saturday with extended opening hours during the busy Christmas period. Claire Goyer, BA (Hons.), HND, is a qualified Canine Nutrition Therapist and co owner of this multiple award winning pet shop. Her articles on Canine Nutrition have featured in many publications including “The Dog Trainer” – The Official magazine of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK, and “Dogs Today” - a major UK based monthly glossy magazine. She is owned by two rescue dogs. Patch – a German Sheppard cross, and James – a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross Lurcher.
