My career has been devoted to communicating with clients, graphic and 3D designers, the media, and the public to explain and motivate. As strategic director of major consulting firms in the U.S. and London, I developed winning branding and marketing strategies for retailers, financial services firms, and consumer goods manufacturers, including ABN Amro Bank (worldwide), AkBank (Turkey), Deutsche Bank, Kodak, Rémy Martin, Philip Morris Duty Free, Marks and Spencer, The Burton Group, Kmart, Sears (Mexico), and Christian Dior. One of the major achievements of my career was heading the project team which created a new retail concept for JUSCO, Japanâs fourth-largest retailer, a format which became a new division of the company. When results from a white paper I had done on the emerging television home shopping industry were published in several retail publications and the Wall Street Journal, I was guest of Charlie Rose on CBS TVâs Nightline. The retail information service whose communications division I headed received national recognition for a study on the top ten retailing trends of the future. Ensuing speaking engagements nationwide took me to Monterrey, California, New Orleans, Colorado Springs, Nashville, and Memphis, giving me the opportunity to network with folks from retail, financial services, and management consulting. More recently at the Ohio Environmental Council, I was in charge of all electronic communications, including advocacy alerts, social media, e-communication with members, e-newsletter, and web-site management. I was also responsible for brand strategy and design of all print communications. As a result of my electronic communications management, the OECâs online subscriber list doubled over a one-year period from 2,500 to over 5,000.
