Started in 1938 by Ivar Haglund, Ivar’s Seafood Restaurants is the longest-standing seafood restaurant chain in Washington’s Puget Sound area. It is a favorite for tourists and locals alike. Ivar’s is a multi-concept restaurant company with a packaged goods division that markets and sells its chowder to grocery, club and c-stores along with foodservice distribution to restaurants, cafeterias and institutions. Ivar’s Full-Serve Restaurants consist of three restaurants featuring fine, yet casual sit-down dining; lively lounges with happy hours; soaring waterfront views and a wide menu of Pacific Northwest contemporary favorites lined with Ivar’s classics.
