Kasa, designed by renowned architect, Edward Suzuki, features a ceiling made entirely of white Japanese umbrellas, gleaming marble tables and white bamboo climbing the walls behind a lighted bar. The menu offers a mixture of skewered meats cooked over a rare charcoal grill (a Binchotan) used to enhance the true flavor of the meat. Also, sushi lovers can delight in impressive creations made nightly in the restaurant's sushi bar by Sushi Chef Takashi Saito. Owners Mimi and Kim, trained by Japanese Master Chef Kumagai, create traditional marinades and sauces with the hope that Kasa will bring diners closer to the true taste of Japan.
