Bio

Noted for her gentle intervention and tender wisdom, life coach and former self improvement executive, Maia Berens loves what she does. She has been dubbed ‘Wise Fairy God Mother' by those who participate in her workshops, a title which she has graciously accepted. Maia says about herself, "I have a natural ability to help people see what's good about what's going on in their lives," and she lives what she teaches, putting joy into each day. As the founding director of the Mars Venus Institute, Maia trained more than 500 professional therapists and corporate speakers worldwide based on the principals of John Gray's Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and had the pleasure of working extensively with the book's author for over 18 years. Her book, Once Upon a Time There Was You: Three Magic Secrets to Finding Your Real Self, whimsically illustrates - using poetic story, delicious drawings and CD - how to magically transform any circumstance into something to learn and grow from. Self-help radio programs frequently have her as a guest and she often offers workshops to companies, management groups, and professional businesspeople. Her commitment to learn from and work with others while creating her own unique message has kept her on a path of both spiritual and personal growth for 35 years and has allowed her to help her clients uncover their authenticity and make changes that they can use to support themselves from the inside out. Maia graduated with a BA in Psychology from Rutgers University, which she attended on a full scholarship. Maia has ‘Power of Feeling Teacher's Training' from Dr. John Gray, has been through the CTI Co-Active Leadership Program, and has also received training from the Coaches Training Institute.
