This area is sometimes referred to as The Tampa Bay area, and that perception is created mostly by the presence of the Tampa Bay Bucs and Tampa Bay Rays. But in fact, Tampa Bay is a body of water, not a place. Tampa Bay is the body of water that separates Pinellas (the St Petersburg side) and Hillsborough (the Tampa side). But no matter which you favor, you can live here year-round and never be cold. And real estate here is one of the best bargains in the nation. (Shhhh...don't tell anyone).
