Maternal and Family Health Services is a unique provider of women’s reproductive health and nutrition care. This agency was founded in 1971 with a vision to improve the quality of family life, promote responsible parenthood and coordinate effective service delivery in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Today, MFHS has not only realized the vision of its founders, but has grown to become one of the largest non-profit agencies in the region providing innovative health and human services to women and children in 16 Pennsylvania counties. Each of the five core programs of MFHS work under a unique service model responding to specific needs in the community. With the support of our government partners at the state and federal levels, and the support of our community, these individual programs form a health and nutrition service network that addresses critical needs for women, children and families in Pennsylvania.
