I'm the author of 2 books on recovering from incest & childhood sexual abuse:"REPAIR Your Life" and "REPAIR For Kids". Amazon.com has 5 star reviews on them. Just type in the name of the book. Amazon is selling the REPAIR Your Life book for around $13. Two more new books will be coming out before the end of the year: "REPAIR For Toddlers" and "It's Your Choice! Decisions that will change Your Life". I know my subject well for when I was thirteen my father raped me as I lay sleeping with my rosary in my hands. My mother found out and decided to blame me and had my father beat me with a belt for what he'd done. The abuse ending when I ran away from home when I was 18. I spent the next two decades going from one abuser to another until I was in my forties and began my own recovery program. After five long and anguishing years I went from being suicidal, filled with despair, married to my third abuser and living part time in a women's shelter to being the happiest person I know. Every thing I learned and all that I did was woven into the REPAIR program. REPAIR is an acronym for the stages to the program. R is for Recognition (where you validate the truth of what happened) E is for Entry (where you decide what kind of program you want) P is for Processing (where you learn exercises, tools and techniques that enable you to become healthy), A is for Awareness (The coming together of reality as you gather the pieces of the broken puzzle your life has become, I is for Insight (Seeing the complete picture) R is for Rhythm (developing the natural rhythm you had before the abuse).
