Bio

I'm a Liberal political activist and proud of it. I'm 64 years old and live in southern Indiana, where I was born & raised. I support Human Rights, Animal Rights, Environmental Issues, Literacy Programs, Funding for the Arts, and Veterans, particularly Vietnam Veterans. I believe all life on our planet is connected and I want a world with an abundance of freedom and peace for ALL, with NO discrimination according to age, race, color, religion, politics, intelligence (or lack thereof), gender, sexual orientation, ethnic group, or national origin. All people deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, & humanity, in spite of their differences. I am highly interested in matters of spiritual interest and am especially drawn to Native American Spirituality and Wisdom, which resonate deepest within my heart. I believe in Freedom of Religion for EVERYONE, as long as it does not interfere with the belief of others. I retired from full-time work in 2008, but I write as a hobby. A journalist at heart, I'm curious by nature and also am a serious reader. I have a wide variety of interests, including reading, writing, history, geography, nature, ancient cultures, genealogy, physics, metaphysics, word games, trivia, travel, the British Isles, & my spoiled 14 year old cat, Jules. I like the simple things in life. I have a Monty-Python type sense of humor, & love the Coen Brothers Movies, also British comedies and mysteries. I NEVER smoked, but I have lung damage, so can NOT be around smokers. I have one daughter and one grandson in North Carolina that I don't get to see as often as I'd like. I'm divorced but NOT looking for marriage. I would like to have a long-term relationship where I can connect on all levels--emotional, mental, and spiritual as well as physical. I'm most comfortable with artistic, creative types such as musicians, writers, and artists. I like directness, and above all else, I expect honesty, mutual respect and fidelity in a relationship.
