Bio

Jaime Linehan Smith has been teaching English to children and adults since 1997, when she began teaching 5th and 6th grade Language Arts at a prestigious private school after earning a B.A. in Linguistics from U.C. Berkeley. Since then, Jaime has earned an M.A. TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and an M.S. Education with an emphasis in online teaching and learning. She has taught online for institutions such as San Jose State University, Englishtown.com, and the Art Institute Online, and has trained teachers both locally and internationally. She continues to teach English in person at SJSU while homeschooling her daughter. While attending a recent conference for California English teachers, Jaime gave a presentation on the use of social networking and web 2.0 technology in education, and she is excited about applying that technology and more to online G3 courses.
