POLI.design is a Consortium founded in Milan in 1999 as part of the Politecnico di Milano, the university that inaugurated Italy's first degree course in Industrial Design in 1993 and has the World’s largest number of researchers engaged in this field. The Consortium works to promote the Polytechnic’s Design System, particularly the structures and teachers of Europe’s best experimental Design workshops, located in the Bovisa Campus. POLI.design’s main area of focus is Design and project culture disciplines, covering areas including products, communications, interiors, fashion, services and events. POLI.design organises the Politecnico di Milano School of Design University Masters. These are Post-Graduate scientific training and professional refresher courses for those who have already earned first or second level Degrees, known as the Politecnico di Milano university Master Courses. They are designed for training professional figures that are highly specialised and/or have acquired a broad range of skills. POLI.design, with the School of Design and the INDACO (Industrial Design, Arts, Communication and Fashion) Department, forms the Politecnico di Milano Design System, a research, educational, and promotion centre that is the only one of its kind in the World. Its direct relationship with the professional world is guaranteed by the involvement of associations. The most important associations for design professionals, in fact, form part of the Consortium: ADI, the Italian Industrial Design Association, AIAP, the Italian Association of Visual Communication Design, AIMAT, the Italian Association of Material Engineering and AIPI, the Italian Interior Designers’ Association. POLI.design is also part of BEDA, the Bureau of European Design Associations. Please visit our web site: www.polidesign.net/master and www.polidesign.net/corsi
