What is a Picassimal? Picassimal Modern Pet Art Handmade Picasso Inspired Customized Modern Pet Portraits and Memorials "From my love of pets and everything minimal and modern,born form that concept is Picassimal." Picassimal evolved when I found myself challenged to find pet art that was personal, abstract and embraced the modern design aesthetic of my home. Inspired by Picasso's minimalist drawings, Picassimals are intended to capture the true spirit of a beloved pet. Picassimals are a perfect blend of fine art technique and digital art. Each pet is illustrated by hand and placed on colorful digital abstract backgrounds. Drawings are "blind" and based on focusing of shapes and not the overall picture of the animal. Therefore, it is not uncommon for Picassimal pets to have different sized legs, oversized ears, disjointed bodies or out of place eyes, for example.
