George is best-known for his ability to connect customers to new products and technologies. He is a highly-regarded leader with repeated successes in the RFID and security industries. Disciplined, yet agile, with both entrepreneurial skills and rigorous respect for process, he has demonstrated success in both highly structured and loosely-defined work environments. Most recently, he has been consulting with RFID clients in retail, IT, healthcare, and automotive industries. Previously, George was VP of global sales & marketing for Avery Dennison RFID, increasing market share from less than 5% to over 35% in 6 quarters. Revenues increased from $300k to $6.5 million in 2 years. Before joining Avery, George created and ran the RFID division for Tyco, producing an industry-first complete solution stack, partnering with Intel, Microsoft, Oracle, EDS, Sun Micro, Thingmagic, OAT Systems, and GlobeRanger. As Tyco's VP of EAS, he integrated Sensormaticâs $600 million anti-shoplifting product line into ADT channels worldwide, increasing revenue 24% in his first two quarters in the role. As the Sensormatic Tags SBU GM, he grew revenue 15% to $139M, even as other EAS sales shrunk 4%. As engineering VP, George initiated multiple design and process efforts in EAS, CCTV, and Access Control. Quality improved by a factor of 10 times, annual new product releases tripled, and design cycle times were cut in half. George has opened factories and sales offices in China, and has spoken at conferences from Istanbul to Sydney, as well as in the U.S. and Europe. He served on the technical committee for the IDWorld conference held in Italy, was named a Subject Matter Expert and Trusted Advisor by RFIDWizards, and has supported GS1 EPC pilots in North America, Germany, Colombia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
