Run by Michelle Alvarez, Mark Parker and Reverend Andy Hawley, Renegade Grinder is an online magazine about rockabilly music, culture and beyond. Swinging back to the days of Elvis, and moving up to the current beat of Reverend Horton Heat, this magazine takes you to where few have dared to go. Renegade Grinder is the only online magazine of its kind in the Southeast. While based in Atlanta, we feature rockabilly bands from all over; helping to spread the word that this genre of music is not only alive and kicking, but stomping it's way up the road. Everything from rockabilly to psychobilly, honky-tonk and old school country, there's something for everyone to appreciate. Renegade Grinder showcases not just the music, but the culture. Hot-rods, motorcycles, bad B-movies, pin-ups, greasers – you name it – we've got it. We have interviews with known and unknown artists, workers, and local celebrities. We feature a monthly pin-up girl as well as highlight tattoo body art. And with a published review column on music and events around town, we keep on top of what everyone wants to know about. Renegade Grinder is not just about rockabilly. It's about keeping some of the most powerful iconic images and representations of America alive. It's what your mom and pop were when they were young.
