I am pretty passionate about technology and the rapid pace it is changing the way we work, think and play. I'm a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) on Directory Services and consult to Banking, Government, Telecoms and Oil and Gas companies in Africa. Being a consultant here requires a more general approach than a specialised approach because everything connects to everything. I see Africa as a place with the ICT potential to leapfrog many first world continents in that it does not carry the historic burden of legacy systems. However, one step at a time. Some of the technologies I work with include; Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 x, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), ISA, TMG, et al. I did the Cisco CCNA and CCNP to get a baseline understanding of networking technologies. I am certainly not a Microsoft be all and end all guy. I love technologies that simply work well and have a great interest in well established companies/technologies such as Google, Apple, VMWare, EMC, Cicso, WordPress, Twitter, FaceBook et al. Goal - to know more. I will never get there. There is just too much I really want to understand (even beyond mere technology). People values - If people give it their best shot, don't crit and help them as much as you can. Guide them and build the stairs. The world is lacking in ratio on a few good people like this. If people don't really try, fire away and don't let up because that's just a waste of good oxygen.
