General Phone (801) 468-2750 Affiliation The Salt Lake Valley Health Department is the local health department serving Salt Lake County and a department of county government. Year Founded The precursor to the Salt Lake Valley Health Department (Deseret Public Health) was founded in 1857. Since that time, the health department has fallen under several other titles, including the Salt Lake City Health Department and Salt Lake City-County Health Department.
