Bio

Above all I am a climber. I have taken my love of climbing, my university training in sports science and teaching and combined these with some hard earned mountain instructor qualifications to form the Rock Climbing Company. The Rock Climbing Company offers high quality climbing and mountaineering courses with instruction that covers all the traditional mountain skills such as rock climbing, scrambling and navigation. We can deliver these courses at all levels of ability and experience. The Rock Climbing Company and all it's courses are run by myself, Silvia Fitzpatrick. I am a very enthusiastic climberand hold the Mountain Instructor Award and am a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and the Mountain Leaders Training Association. My company offers inspirational climbing and mountaineering instruction that is totally customised to your needs, progresses at a rate you are comfortable with, teaches you exactly what you want to know and gives you an adventurous experience that you will remember for a long time. The The Rock Climbing Company site will hopefully give you a feel for the climbing instruction that we can offer, but this is only a broad outline because everybody's needs are different - some will want an adventurous day in the mountains for their family experiencing climbing and abseiling for the first time, some will want to learn how to lead their first rock routes with an instructor alongside on a static rope, whilst others will want specific tuition on advanced rope work and rescue techniques.
