STEVE HAYES is the host of the weekly YouTube series, "STEVE HAYES: Tired Old Queen at the Movies," where he recommends films from the Golden Age of Hollywood. He starred as Perry in the Fine Line Features motion picture "Trick" directed by Jim Fall and starring Tori Spelling and Christian Campbell. "Trick" was nominated for Best Picture at the Sundance Film Festival and Steve can be heard singing a solo number on the soundtrack CD. He recently completed the film; "The Big Gay Musical," in which he sings three songs and plays GOD. He won Oustanding Actor at the International New York Fringe Theatre Festival in 2006 for "The Penguin Tango" by Stephen Svoboda. In 2008, he was again at The Fringe performing in the original two character show "Parental Indiscretions" written and performed with comedy partner Tom Cayler. He appeared in GAYFEST NYC in 2008 in his original one-person show, "Steve Hayes Hollywood Reunion" directed by Vincent J. Cardinal. Steve and Tom Cayler recently appeared in a sold-out engagement of their latest comedy, "Stories We Tell Ourselves" at Don't Tell Mama in New York and The Pontine Theatre in Portsmouth. Steve starred Off-Broadway in Paul Corrigan's comedy "Queen's Blvd" also directed by Vincent J. Cardinal. He appeared in Johnathan Tolins "The Last Sunday In June" at The Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida and starred in the ABC television's "The Maintenance Mens Lounge." As a comedian, Steve is a nine time nominee and three time winner of the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs MAC Award for Outstanding Comedian and Characterization. He is also the recipient of the Backstage Bistro Award for Comedy Performer of the Year. He is a six time recipient of the ASCAP Popular Music Award and is the author and co-lyricist of the musical "Kiss Me Quick Before the Lava Reaches the Village" and the co-lyricist of "Girl Of My Dreams".
