Strategic Mindshare Founder and President, Cynthia Cohen, is a prominent retail strategist. Considered one of the nation's leading authorities on consumer trends and strategic marketing, her areas of expertise include market positioning, branding, e-commerce and business strategy. She is also known for her groundbreaking research on the buying habits of ethnic consumers, Boomer women, Generation Y and tweens, the consumer group Cynthia named the "Speeders". Cynthia's clients range from global Fortune 500 companies to fast track start-ups. They include; retailers, consumer product companies, real estate firms, media companies, technology vendors and financial institutions. Known as the "Strategy Diva," Cynthia is a widely sought after speaker and authority on consumer trends who combines consumer insights and prognostications with realistic market penetrations strategies. Frequently quoted by the national print and online press, she has also appeared on Nightly Business Report, CNBC, CNN and other broadcast news programs. Cynthia is a member of the board of directors of bebe, Equity One, Steiner Leisure and several private consumer product and technology companies. She is on the Executive Advisory Board for the Center for Retailing Education and Research at the University of Florida as well as the Advisory Board for The Southwest Retail Center for Education and Research at the University of Arizona. Continuing her long-time passion for mentoring female business students, Cynthia established the Strategic Mindshare Foundation, which provides scholarships and mentoring to young women in business school. She is Chairman of the Foundation. A native of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cynthia initiated her career in retail at an inner city supermarket. Prior to founding her consulting firm, she was a Partner in Management Consulting at Deloitte & Touche.
