Bio

ShutterPod is a photographic events and online community dedicated to supporting its members and participants through photography in a fun and rewarding manner. In a time when photography should be accessible to all, ShutterPod aims to breakdown barriers, eliminate stereotypes, and capture the imagination of everyone regardless of their photographic background through exhibitions, events, discussion, workshops, and mentoring. ShutterPod will also nurture new talent, promote established lens-based artists, and celebrate the great things happening with and in photography. It will engage with a wider audience through its work in the education, social and health sectors. Everyone is welcome at ShutterPod ShutterPod has been set up by photographers Josie Purcell and Ben Ellis. Events will be organised across the south west from Autumn 2011.
