Hi, my name is Paula Wells and I am the driving force behind Starr Office Services, now known as ThinkSOS. After working in the corporate world for 20 years as an Administrator and Office Manager, I took the skills and experience I gained and used them to provide solutions for today's busy solo-preneur. Since 2004, I have helped small business owners in the GTA with their: Bookkeeping, E-Newsletter Management, Office Management and Client Relationship Programs. From developing financial reporting measures and effectively implementing new payroll procedures, to creating editorial calendars and finding newsletter contributors, I've played an integral role in assisting and managing many small businesses. I understand the unique needs of small, medium and corporate businesses and adapt my skills to meet each of their requirements. My proactive and goal oriented approach to Business Planning, Operations and Administration has produced increased profits and productivity for my various clients. Always budget conscious, in 2004 I embarked on a journey to improve my relationship with money and founded a group called the Money Wise Women's Club. The club ran for 2 years and was an educational forum and meeting place to empower and educate women. My formal education is from George Brown College where I studied the Assaulted Women's and Children's Counsellor/Advocate Program. The curriculum provided me with a feminist perspective of political and oppressive issues, taught me a lot about myself and opened my mind to new ideas. I'm a firm believer in balance and to create it in my life; I enjoy hobbies such as writing poetry and am in the planning stages for a new Blog called The Artist's Way Café to showcase the work of local artist's. I also enjoy walking my adorable dog, reading, summers in South Hampton, Ontario, exercising and cooking.
