I am a partner in a mid-tier accountancy practice based in Huntingdon, Biggleswade and Letchworth. The firm, George Hay Chartered Accountants, services a wide range of clients ranging from one-person businesses to AIM listed companies. I offer the day to day accounting and compliance services you would expect from a qualified accountant and specialise in two particular areas (1) supporting small or new businesses - helping them to develop their information systems and teaching the business owner the value of management information (2) I audit organisations in regulated industries such as charities and financial services. This is really a well developed hobby grown through my natural instinct to share information and help others to either improve their wellbeing or the bank balance, or in most cases both. This is done through team support and using/recommending the fabulous products available. I find health and nutrition a very interesting subject and it gives me some welcome relief from accounting standards! I am Mum to Billy who was born in January 2008 and wife to Julian, a self-employed property maintenance contractor (carpentry, bathroom/kitchen fitting, rooflines etc) I live in St. Ives and like to travel, network (online and offline) and generally being sociable!
