Since 2006, our commitment to using the finest ingredients to create delicious modern Japanese cuisine has seen us grow from one, to four London eateries; from trend setting Portobello to the heart of the West End, on Soho's vibrant Poland Street. Ukai is named after the 1300 year old Japanese tradition of river fishing using a cormorant, a bird that intuitively catches only the healthiest fish. We offer diners an authentic experience; beautifully presented food, in a contemporary Japanese setting. Above all we are passionate about the high quality food. Our core values of simplicity, coupled with only using fresh sustainable ingredients, resonate in every dish on our menu, prepared by highly trained chefs who love their art.
