ACityDiscount Restaurant Equipment opened its doors for business in Atlanta in 1973. The original owner, Bill Stack, had previously managed a local department store, but when that closed he decided to use his sales knowledge to open a business selling used restaurant equipment to serve the foodservice industry. Throughout the 1970's & 1980's the business thrived selling used commercial kitchen equipment such as ranges, griddles, dough mixers, refrigerators, & freezers, in addition to dishwashers, compartment sinks, concession equipment & restaurant furniture. The current CEO, John Stack, joined the family-owned business in 1977. An early adopter of search optimization, the business name was changed from CityDiscount to ACityDiscount in 1986 for a high alphabetized search placement in the Yellow Pages. ACityDiscount has built strong relationships with manufacturers and the restaurant community so we are able to purchase restaurant equipment at very fair prices.
