Bio

I am a hands-on executive consultant with a focus on business strategy and growth, and its implementation. People regard me as a strategic thinker with strong sense of entrepreneurship and accountability, and as being able to deliver entrepreneurial results at a senior corporate level, with innovation, strategy and execution as the hallmarks. Big thinking, detailed execution is my style. Most often I assist senior executives or Boards with their challenging questions around growth, new ventures & partnerships, or potential exits. I also work often with Venture Capitalists and with entrepreneurs providing deal support for funding, growth and exits. For example most recently I completed commercialization of a piece of software for BHPB Billiton. Previously I developed the Knowledge-Sharing solution for a 2,500-person engineering services firm; assisted the CEO of a local communications product manufacturer structure a global OEM deal with Nokia Siemens Systems from Finland; conducted a strategic review of a fast-growing consumer retail franchise business; advised the CEO and the leadership team of a ASX-listed global supplier of smelting technology on their customer risk and referral program; led fund-raising for a high-growth IT services company; was engaged by the Chairman of an ASX-listed telecommunications company to workshop a strategic planning exercise; and was an Advisor to the ICT Strategy Board of the Government of Victoria. Prior to establishing my consulting business (Digital Investor Pty Ltd) I worked in numerous large corporate executive roles spanning audit, strategy, being a Chief Information Officer and establishing and running profit-centre businesses in IT services. For example I previously held a corporate role as VP Strategic Planning for Computer Sciences Corporation (Australia/New Zealand), and prior to the CSC role was an Executive of BHP Information Technology (BHP IT), a business unit and profit centre of BHP-Billiton Ltd.
