Bio

Work I work as a Project Specialist at the University of Minnesota in the GroupLens Laboratory. I love students, and working in academia has always been a good fit for me because I'm constantly learning. At work, I'm the queen of planning - I plan events, organize calendars and meetings, collaborate and coordinate to make things happen. I'm also a full-time graduate student in the Human Resource Development / Learning Technologies program. My specialty is developing online learning solutions for organizations, and I'm learning how to use all that technology that keeps getting pushed out to do that. The technology is moving faster than we are, and of course the focus always needs to stay on the pedagogy. Yet, we find ourselves immersed in needing to find new ways of working and doing things, and training isn't a yearly event anymore - it's constant, and needs to be at our fingertips and on-demand. Having online training can be an answer to that, so I want to be able to develop and provide that training for organizations and communities. Personal I am 28 and raising two kids, one that isn't mine but I love like crazy. I'm married to my soul mate, which is something a lot of people can't say. I have a big, Italian family, with five siblings. It's thrilling to me to watch people develop into someone better. I enjoy volunteering immensely, and do a lot of it through Eagle Brook church. It's our home! I love reading good books, and learning about the way life has changed since I have been born... I love nostalgia - family history, what the Italians used to say and do, how they related to the U.S. I also love looking forward - watching how my four year old is growing.. he's learning new things everyday :)
