I am a retired US Army First Sergeant and former Chief Deputy Sheriff who recently finished college after years of putting it off for what seemed like important reasons at the time. I am an online marketer and volunteer firefighter in a small farming community in the middle of Nebraska. We had chosen this community because it was a safe place to raise our children, but that changed when my wife had an opportunity to return to Germany to work on her masters degree. I stayed behind to finally finish college and am trying to get the train turned around so I can be back with my family. You can only guess at how difficult that is right now with the housing market what it is. I am an optimistic person and know that as long as I never quit I will eventually overcome anything. My favorite quote is by Og Mandino... "I will persist until I succeed. I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, or to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is NOT in my destiny!" As long as I remember that saying there isn't anything out of my reach.
