Please join us for the first BarcampSWFL- A technology unConference at Edison State College, on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We are pleased to announce the very first BarcampSWFL scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Edison State College from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sessions will include, but are not limited to: RSS Feed and Social Media: Syndication and Aggregators Explained Web-Based Employment and Freelance Opportunities You're Doing Social Media Wrong Blogging Engines with an emphasis on Wordpress Sumi-e Inspired Web UI using ArtRage Public Relations and Traditional Media Moving Forward Grüpii: It's all about people-Group Collaboration Tools for Enterprise and Groups Getting what you want from your new Virtual Assistant Zero to Branded in 60 Minutes We are excited to also announce the inclusion of JuniorCamp SWFL, the first-ever technology un-conference by and for K-12 students. So far, students from six schools – including Dunbar High School, Cypress Lake High School, Cypress Middle, Veterans Park K-8 Academy for the Arts, Gulf Middle, and Diplomat Elementary – have committed to sharing their technology expertise with each other. Presentations will cover a variety of topics from computer hardware to creating digital art using Photoshop to blogging and the making of digital book trailers. Deb Hanson, library media specialist at Veterans Park Academy for the Arts in Lehigh Acres is coordinating the JuniorCamp and is thrilled with the response so far.
