Beyond Commerce Pty Limited (Bcom) is an independent, full-services, Internet IT company and was established in South Africa in 1999. Our mission is to help our clients, through long term partnerships, to establish a successful Internet presence by designing, developing, implementing and managing solutions that employ innovation and technology in an expert and professional manner. Bcom is located in modern offices in Gillitts, KZN and serves a client base that extends from small local companies through to global leaders in their field, such as Flora Holland - the world's largest distributor and reseller of flowers. Bcom combines a unique blend of experience, youthful expertise and technical know-how. Our shares are fully in the hands of the company principles, although 10% of our share capital is allocated to an employee share option scheme (5% currently allocated). The company is entirely funded by principle capital and is BEE compliant. The principles include Mike Lawford, who has 10 years Internet and network experience, Steve Meyer,with 10 years database design and programming behind him and Rob Lawford, who has more than 35 years experience in IT, including several directorships in leading European IT companies. The first IT system that Rob was involved in was a production scheduling system for E-type Jaguars, in Coventry, England. Since then, his career has always been at the cutting-edge of technology and his achievements include the world's first application of a database in a business environment.
