The Cheergiver mission is to encourage, inspire and lift the spirits of people who are feeling down or discouraged. A job loss, breakup, sickness or move to a new city can leave a person emotionally isolated. Cheergiver exists to fight this condition, serve as a resource to combat loneliness and depression and act as a springboard to help people establish life-affirming relationships. The Cheergiver initiative comprises of both online and offline activities: Cheergiver Online Activity 1. Website Cheergiver.com is a website containing inspirational quotes, affirmations, jokes, happy pictures, funny videos and relaxing music that visitors can experience for free. 2. Twitter Feed Cheergiver has a Twitter Feed through which Tweets containing encouraging messages and links to inspirational quotes, news, photos and music are sent to help followers cheer up and be happy. 3. Facebook Fan Page The Facebook fan page enables Facebook users who join as a Fan to receive updates on content and Tweets through their Facebook account. Cheergiver Offline Activity: 1. Meetup Group Happy in Los Angeles is a Cheergiver-sponsored meetup group based in Los Angeles for people interested in practicing activities that help raise and sustain enduring levels of happiness. These activities include expressing gratitude, developing an optimistic outlook and practicing acts of kindness.
