Bio

Shasta (Bull Terrior & Black Lab) was the inspiration for The Puppy Baby Book. I adopted her from Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) in Houston, TX. She was my ever-steady companion for 16+ years. She died 4 days before her 17th birthday. We had a wonderful bond - I could not fool her for a minute. She knew when I was trying to sneak away without her. In her later years it was impossible for me to take her in the car in the heat of the Houston summer unless it was a quick trip and it was hard to explain this to her. Yes, I'm a dog conversationalist. I talked to my dog as if she were a real person.
