Forrest Stuart is presently director of financial aid at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. Prior to joining Furman in August 2008, Forrest worked in the same capacity at Rhodes College for 8 years and in both admissions and financial aid at Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, Alabama for 11 years. Forrest has served as President, Association Governance Chair, Conference Chair, District 1 Chair, and Governmental Relations Chair for the Tennessee Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (TASFAA); he has served as Tennessee’s state trainer for the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA); and he served two years as the chair of the Membership Committee of the Southern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (SASFAA). Forrest currently serves as a regionally-elected representative on the College Board’s CSS National Assembly Council, and he has been a CSS Assembly Council Representative for the Southern Region of the College Board. Forrest also serves on the National School Advisory Council for Educational Loan Management (ELM), an organization which facilitates efficient student, parent, and alternative loan processing functionality. Forrest received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Birmingham-Southern College and his Master of Arts Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama, where he was awarded the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for Higher Education Administration. He is married and has two daughters, one 14 years old and the other, 11 years old.
