I seek "persons of interest" on behalf of game studios and publishers and establish introductions in order to advance efforts at creating channel partnerships, collaborative advertising opps, launch visibility, and more. I have over the last year developed a particular system that incorporates online and offline networking along with a tracking aspect to create quick and effective connections. Here's a recent example of my work: I conducted a month-long professional networking campaign for a new game marketing company that began with me creating gamemarketing on Twitter. Before the contract was signed I had an introduction for the CEO. The project concluded with about 15 introductions to specific industry types. In fact, on one afternoon, while skyping with the client, he mentioned that he and his partners were trying to make contact with a game studio in their own neighborhood in London. They had been invited to a presentation, but the presentation was canceled. I told the client to hold a minute. Checked my Twitter account for the studio. After a couple of DMs, I got back to my client and said "check your e-mail--I've sent you an official introduction to my contact from Twitter at that very studio." While I've conducted similar professional networking campaigns for CEOs in other industries, like GRC software, real estate, and franchise service companies, I have a particular affinity for the gaming space, and spend a great deal of time developing relationships resulting in a diverse network inside that space. I'm always open to talking to game industry "players" and exploring opportunities to work together. mary@marykurek.com www.marykurek.com
