Bio

Gerard F. Corbett is a senior branding, marketing and PR executive with 40 years in a broad range of global technology, industrial and consumer product and service companies. Gerry currently serves as CEO of Redphlag LLC, a San Bruno based strategic business consulting and services organization. From 1995 to 2007, he was Vice President and General Manager in the Americas of the Branding and Corporate Communications Group of Hitachi, Ltd., one of the world's leading electronics companies. Gerry has served as head of corporate communications for a number of Fortune 200 firms including Loral Corporation; ASARCO Incorporated; and Gould Inc., a diversified international electronics company, which was acquired by Japan Energy in 1988. Previously he worked for International Harvester Company, the public relations firm of Creamer Dickson Basford in Providence, Rhode Island, Four Phase Systems, Inc., National Semiconductor Corporation, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Mountain View, Calif. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Gerry has a bachelors of arts degree in public relations from San Jose State University, San Jose, California. Gerry is Chair-elect, an accredited member and Fellow of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA.) He is also a member of the board of PRSA, past Secretary and former chairman of its Honors and Awards Committee; past president and a member of the board of directors of the International Advertising Association West; a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; a member the National Investor Relations Institute; a former member of the advisory board of the CMO Council; and a member of the Arthur Page Society, the National Association of Science Writers, International Coaching Federation and New York PR Society.
