James Young

Bio

James L. Young, CA PC Lic 0D40070, is a commercial insurance agent-broker in San Diego, CA, currently appointed with Paxys Insurance Agency, Inc. He is the author of two textbooks/insurance continuing education courses: "The Insurance Professional's Ethics Guide," The 4-Hour Annuities Training Guide," both approved by the CA Dept of Insurance for CA-based insurance licensees. He is the founder/owner/director of JLY Public Relations, including Sycamore Press (insurance c.e. school and publishing firm), and the newly formed North American Writers Association. Young is a longtime journalist, writer, editor, photographer, and publisher, having run and worked on magazines, newspapers, news services, and public relations accounts. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam conflict Young was a combat journalist for the Seabees (MCB 121). He served as executive director of the National Writers Club (now "Association") five years, leaving that post in late 1991. In his role with Paxys Insurance Agency Young specializes in surety bonds and errors and omissions insurance coverages.
