John Left

I'm in my mid-later 30's. I've got a BA in English that I could never parlay into a job. So I've spent the last 12 years or so in a job field suited to my strongest skill, bullsh*tting---retail sales. In my spare time, I'm a vocracious reader, streetcorner philosopher and semi-retired blogger. I'm also a notoriously lazy bastard. I still write, but mostly for myself. That's why I enjoy Twitter. It's like blogging, but with less effort. A child of the 1980s/90s, I love pop culture of that time---but not the current stuff. Modern "culture" seems too copycat-ish and easy---and coming from a veteran slacker like me, that's saying something. My Tweets are designed as little philosophy/knowledge/comedic "germs", designed to get people to think outside the box and have a laugh or two. I'm mostly a Luddite who has to be dragged kicking & screaming into modern technology. But I do enjoy the communication network yon Internet provides. If you get a chance, read my blog, "John Left's Field" (http://johnleftfield.blogspot.com). I wrote it a couple years back, when I was unemployed. Still some good stuff in there. And please follow me on Twitter. Thanks a bunch!
