Kerri Westhauser

Bio

Ms. Westhauser is licensed in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Board Certified by the NCCAOM. She is a member of the Maryland Acupuncture Society, the Acupuncture Society of Virginia, the Acupuncture Society of Washington D.C., the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Ms. Westhauser studied at the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanghai, China. Ms. Westhauser is currently working on her first book which will address Chinese medicine and common ailments. Ms. Westhauser incorporates extensive Chinese nutritional counseling, acupuncture, herbs and heat therapies into her treatments. During initial consultations, she provides details about treatment options based on your individual health assessment. In general, acupuncture tends to be beneficial for acute and chronic pain or traumatic injuries. Whereas internal ailments require a combined approach of acupuncture, nutritional changes and herbal therapies. Ms. Westhauser uses the traditional Chinese approach that utilizes ancient herbal formulas and their modification to each patient's condition. She prescribes herbs from Kamwo because of their rigorous quality standards.
