Briefly: I'm a co-founder and former vp/creative for Paramore|Redd Online Marketing in Nashville. Now, I'm called "senior consultant." This means when they don't have anyone else to ask about creative, or content, want some creative writing that doesn't sound like corporate blather, or they just want a smartass in the room, they call me in, and I bill them. Paramore|Redd is a great company blessed with terrific people. The creatives there are scary good. Of course, I hired most of them, so you expect me to say that. But they really are. So are the folks in online media over there, and everyone else, including the president, Hannah, who you should meet, if you haven't. She's way more fun than I am. People ask her to come speak all the time. I believe the most important thing is what it says. My history also includes a longass time in broadcasting ââ¬â radio, to be specific. (See how important words are? "Broadcasting" sounds 10x cooler than "radio," which is now moribund as railroads.) I was a longtime program director. That's the person you hated who picked out the music and the dorks you'd hear in-between songs. I also worked on the air, did station imaging, and spent a lot of time smoking cigarettes and producing on-air promos. Later on, I quit smoking, and just wrote the promos for someone else to produce. One of my first non-dishwasher jobs was sitting at a manual typewriter, pecking out radio copy for furniture stores, car dealers and a place called Eli Feed Company. So now you know I've been writing content to talk people into doing thisthatortheotherthing for a good while now. I can write you some. I'm kinda gifted at it. Conceited, too, since I believe with all my heart that what your marketing says is about 100 times more important than how it looks, which is friggin' important, too.
