Kyle Richard Dessent was born on January 12, 1987 in Sale, VIC and relocated to Perth, WA in 1994. Growing up he developed a love for performing among friends and upon stages, practicing theatre, dance and music. Kyle has been entertaining his audiences since he was 7 and began writing songs and scripts of his own material since the age of 9. When Kyle steps onto the stage his presence is commanding, his voice enchanting and his purpose clear. He is a proud and ambitious Australian on a superstar mission to reach people’s hearts, move their feet and open their minds. Together they released an all originals, all acoustic EP “Kick A Jam Doughnut” in 2007. Kyle was the runner-up WA Karaoke World Champion 2008 and in the same year recorded an EP of originals with Perth pop/rock band, Queen Aphasia. Australian Idol welcomed Kyle into their top 100 in 2009, the year he was a Grand Finalist in the Testra Road To Tamworth, independently released a 12-track album titled “Paradigm” and had three original compositions featured on the Mission Australia release, “Head Game”. In 2010 he won the Sir David Martin Foundation Scholarship, made the X-Factor shortlist and supported Idol’s 3rd place-getter, Cosima De Vito. 2011 for Kyle began in London at the tail-end of his 2010 UK tour, he has just released his debut single “This Time Around” with an EP to follow in April.
