Kyle Richard Dessent was born on January 12, 1987 in Sale, VIC and relocated to Perth, WA in 1994. Growing up he developed a love for performing among friends and upon stages, practicing theatre, dance and music. Kyle has been entertaining his audiences since he was 7 and began writing songs and scripts of his own material since the age of 9. When Kyle steps onto the stage his presence is commanding, his voice enchanting and his purpose clear. He is a proud and ambitious Australian on a superstar mission to reach peopleâs hearts, move their feet and open their minds. Every show he delivers with integrity, attitude and passion leaving every one inspired and of course, entertained. In 2006 Kyle recorded his first EP âPrototypeâ and began travelling around Australia from city to country with his solo shows and duo act with cousin Jordan Dessent. Together they released an all originals, all acoustic EP âKick A Jam Doughnutâ in 2007. Kyle was the runner-up WA Karaoke World Champion 2008 and in the same year recorded an EP of originals with Perth pop/rock band, Queen Aphasia. Australian Idol welcomed Kyle into their top 100 in 2009, the year he was a Grand Finalist in the Testra Road To Tamworth, independently released a 12-track album titled âParadigmâ and had three original compositions featured on the Mission Australia release, âHead Gameâ. In 2010 he won the Sir David Martin Foundation Scholarship, made the X-Factor shortlist and supported Idolâs 3rd place-getter, Cosima De Vito. 2011 for Kyle began in London at the tail-end of his 2010 UK tour, he has just released his debut single âThis Time Aroundâ with an EP to follow in April. In May he will cross the United States of America landing in Nashville for Fanfare, the biggest country music festival in the world, returning down under for the CMAA College of Country Music in late June.
