Bio

Hi. I'm a Principal Researcher and journalist in the Money Research Group (MRG) at Which?. My main focus is on credit and debt research, writing and policy, although I also write on a wide range of personal finance topics, including investments, pensions, carbon offset, savings, banking and protection insurance. I regularly represent Which? and Which? Money in the media, including television, radio and the national press. I also write for the Which? website (www.which.co.uk/money) and for our blogging site Which? Conversation (www.conversation.which.co.uk). In my non-work life, I love music, films, reading, walking and more sci-fi than is probably healthy. Major loves include (in no particular order) Grace Jones, Mylene Farmer, Macy Gray, Eurythmics, Madonna, Tina Turner, James Herbert, Jasper Fforde, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Dynasty (ahem!) and most horror films. Random facts about me include that I have a PhD in Austrian politics and literature, and that I'm a qualified teacher. I recently completed the Certificate in Financial Planning and am about to start the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
