Socialite Michael Dean Shelton is best known for his philanthropy and humanitarian efforts worldwide which has generated millions of dollars for charities. Utilizing his celebrity friends and acquaintances, he creates unique fundraising events such as Snapshots of Hope in which friends/acquaintances Snoop Dogg, Ringo Starr, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt created an image based on hope which was auctioned off for an AIDS Charity (http://artseen.org/SnapshotsofHope.html). In 2009, Michael made his acting debut and was filmed for a documentary on his long time AIDS Activism. Michael has received a number of awards and honors including a Special Congressional Recognition in 1997, Plaques of Appreciation from Heart to Heart International and the City of Ottawa, Kansas, and a Civilian Honor Award from the Guatemalan Government, to name a few.
