Bio

My experience in the media has really been in MULTImedia, taking me across the globe and across the communications spectrum. From reporting and producing for Wisconsin Public Radio to filming and writing for freelance pieces in Tanzania, I have tried to develop a wide range of professional skills and cultural experiences. In the digital age it's essential to not only know how to use writing, audio and video to tell a story, but also how to use them well. A global media environment means that communicators need to be able to operate equally comfortably across media and cultural landscapes. Finding out how to cross these terrains and bridge the gaps that exist between people, their global neighbors and reliable information has been the goal of my nascent career. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Journalism and I am starting my career as an Americorps VISTA for the Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago. I'm always looking to make contact with people who, like me, believe in the power of communication to eradicate boundaries and bring people closer together while creating art at the same time.
